Abstract
|
Cyanodithioformate salt as an odorless and simply operational source of sulfur was reacted with
aryl halides in the presence of copper iodide, affording diaryl disulfide, which reacted with
styrenes/α-methylstyrene in second step to form β-Hydroxy sulfides with high regioselectivity in
good to excellent yields.
