Abstract
|
A simple and efficient procedure for trimerization of aromatic
aldehydes mediated by potassium cyanide is described. A
variety of aromatic aldehydes reacted efficiently and the
corresponding oxidative esterification products were obtained
in good to excellent yields in the absence of oxidant, solvent
and metal species.
