Abstract:
In this paper a dataset of literature that includes the phrase “Persian Gulf” in their title,
keywords, and abstract retrieved using the CWTS-Leiden University in-house Scopus database.
Using the VosViewer visualization Software, some different term maps and citation maps are
visualized. These visualization maps identify the main topics and different clusters related to
“Persian Gulf” in the scientific literature indexed in Scopus during 2000-2023. Applying
advanced scientometrics approaches, different descriptive indicators such as document types,
publication years, citations, etc. are presented. The above information provides an optimal
perspective to the different stakeholders such as researchers and policy makers who are active in
the field of “Persian Gulf” and related fields.
