چکیده

EFFECT OF PACLOBUTRAZOL, DAMINOZIDE AND FOLICUR VEGETATIVE AND REPRODUCTIVE TRAITS OF TOMATO (lycopersicon esculentum Mill) BY Zahra Shahriari Kahkeshi One of the major methods of tomato cultivation is the transplantation. A major problem in the production of transplant, gramineous growth and excessive prolongation. Growth inhibitors are new types of organic chemicals that increase flowering time, increase chlorophyll content, increase drought resistance, cold and air pollution, increase number of branches, increase flower number and decrease vegetative growth. Greenhouse experiments were carried out to assess the effect of paclobutrazol, daminozide and folicure on vegetative and reproductive characteristics of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill cv. Karun and New grand) during one growing seasons. This study was conducted experiment in randomized complete block design with three replications. sprying of paclobutrazol (10 and 20 mgL-1), daminozide ( 2 and 3 gL-1 ) , folicure (250 and 500 MicroliterL-1 ) and control (distilled water) were sprayed once ( 4 folded leaves stage) and twice (4 and 6 folded leaves stage). During the plant growth period, Vegetative traits such as transplant height, transplant diameter, plant height, stem diameter, leaf area and chlorophyll index, chlorophyll a, b and total, internode length as well as reproductive traits such as number of flowers and number of fruits per cluster were measured. After harvest, fruits were harvested and single plant yield, soluble solids, acidity, vitamin C, titratable acid and lycopene were measured. The result showed that growth retardants had significant effect on height and diameter stem of transplant, plant height, stem diameter, leaf area, chlorophyll index, chlorophyll a and b, total chlorophyll and internode length as well as reproductive characteristics such as number of flowers, number of fruits per cluster and yield. The highest diameter of transplant and the lowest transplant length were observed
