Despite its great importance in various periods, Lar has not been as well-represented in the sources as it should be due to its distance from political centers. This problem is compounded by the lack of specific oral history sources for this region. The book Dorrat al-Tawarikh, although late, is a response to this deficiency. The author, who traces the history of Lar from the mythological era, provides the reader with more information as he approaches his own period. In this regard, this book can be a starting point in historical studies of this region.
