Encapsulation technology in recent years has contributed significantly to the human society as a medical
science. Encapsulation is a method for the storage and controlling the drug delivery that also widely used
in food industry, medicine, tissue, biochemistry and etc. A microcapsule composed of two parts, liquid
core and shell membrane. Semi-permeable membrane prevents the permeation of cell relievers. The aim
of this study was to describe the mass transfer mechanism of albumin into poly Lysine- alginate
microcapsules and to compare the theoretical results with the experimental data. There are two mass
transfer resistance, the resistance of the membrane and the resistance of the liquid core that both of them
have been considered in this research. The results clearly showed that same observations were obtained
between the model and experimental data results that show the reliability of the model for describing the
mass transfer mechanism inside the microcapsules
