The present study compares the source of marital control in two groups of couples applying for divorce and normal couples.
Method: A causal-comparative descriptive study was conducted on all couples and divorce applicants in Bushehr city. Of the couples applying for divorce, 17 were selected, and among ordinary couples, 199 were selected through available sampling. For collecting data, Miller Marriage Control Questionnaire was used. Results: The results of multivariate analysis of variance showed that the differences between the studied groups in the internal and external control source and its subscales were statistically significant. The results show that divorcee couples have a higher external control source than normal couples.
