The aim of the present study is to evaluate the relationship between self-esteem and social dimensions of loneliness. The sample consisted of 300 students from Universities of Medical Sciences, Bushehr, who were selected through cluster sampling method. The data collection instrument, the scale of loneliness and self-esteem scale position. Statistical analysis of data correlation and regression analysis were used. Results showed that social self-esteem and feelings of loneliness and positive relationships is governed by its dimensions; also by social self-esteem and social loneliness can be predicted.
