Emotion regulation and Attachment are The two main category in the overal development of childs and mother as the first and most important base of childs development has particular importance in the family.ahthough a nymber of researches done aboutrelationshipbetween mother-child but a few research was discussdabout mothersself efficacy and mete emotion especially that theneed to review these factors more important are in mothers who lost his wife.The aim of this study was to comparing role of maternal self efficacy and maternal meta-emotion on children’s emotion regulation in children with and without father. This study was descriptive cross-sectional study. The study population consisted of all children with and without father at the age of 8 to 11 years of Shiraz city. The sample of children with father selected by multistage sampling from district 3 of Shiraz and the sample of fatherless children selected from a charity center. Finally, 200 students in second grade unit fifth (each group 100) and their mothers participated in the study. Both groups completed research tools including emotion regulation checklist,andattachment style scale for result and child, parental self-efficacy scale and Parents' Meta-emotion philosophy scale. To analyze the data, the methods of statistical correlation and regression coefficient were used. The results showed that reserchs variables in some aspects had significant result.Generally demensions of mothers self efficacy was significant with demension of childrens adjustment in both group.dimensions of mother meta emotion are significant with dimensions of emotion regulation about review of the mothers self efficacy dimensions tochilds attachment this research show significant rssult in both group. Also the mothers meta emtion dimention to childs attachment are significant in both groups.in the review of the mothers attachment style the result in significant in the group with father.
