Dialectical behavior therapy techniques have an important role in reducing psychological problems and increasing psychological skills. The aim of this study was investigating the Effectiveness of dialectical behavior therapy techniques (emotion regulation, distress tolerance) on stress, anxiety, depression and Psychological Capitalof female-headed households. The research method was semi-experimental and the pretest and posttest design with control group was used. The statistical population of current research consisted of female-headed households of shooshtar city in 2016. The samples that were selected by available sampling method, responded to the dass-21 and Psychological Capital Luthans questionnaires and randomly assigned in three groups of experimental and one group of control, each 15 people. The first experimental group was given training based on emotion regulation and distress tolerance, the second experimental group was given training based on emotion regulation, the third experimental group was given training based on distress tolerance, while the control group received no training. The collected data were analyzed using analysis of covariance. The results showed that there exist a significant divergences between the mean post-test scores of experimental and control groups and dialectical behavior therapy techniques could significantly reduce depression, anxiety, and stress and increase resiliency of female-headed households .Therefore, it is suggested that dialectical behavior therapy techniques be used in order to enhance the mental health and Psychological Capital of female-headed households.
