In this article, the effect of geometrical shape on magnetization reversal of a Permalloy magnetic nanoring has been investigated. In this nanoparticle the magnetization reversal depends strongly on creation of onion state as well as rotational coherent state. The coercive field is also affected by these states. These features can be understood by considering the competition between exchange energy and magnetostatic energy stems from demagnetization field. The total demagnetization energy of the narrow nanoring is much lower than the perfect nanodisk.
