Persian Gulf and its neighbouring lands for thousands of years throughout history have always global and regional importance and it can be evaluated from different perspectives. One of the important aspects is to assess social developments in communities surrounding it. In the twentieth century, social change has accelerated and led to some drastic transformations than ever been. The speed of developments and social changes in the Twentieth century in the area has attracted the attention of researchers and this evokes the question of whether such developments have often caused from background internal or external factors affect the elements and factors. With this interpretation of social change and social transformation of knowledge societies, one of the most important historical and sociological issues is the need to research and investigate this context. This research aims to study social development of the Persian Gulf Arab societies and with emphasis on Kuwait and Bahrain as historical patterns this states in the twentieth century period. This study was conducted based on historical sources with the approach of historical sociology and aims to shed lights on internal and external factors affecting the social development of these countries in 20 century.
