In this thesis, a simple efficient method for one-pot synthesis of non-symmetric sulfides by using Na2S·3H2O, epoxides and Michael acceptors in the presence of Na2CO3 in SDS micellar solution is introduced.
In addition, a one-pot procedure for synthesis of methyl sulfides using dimethyl sulfate, thiourea, Na2CO3 and Michael acceptors or epoxides in the ethylene glycol at room temperature is described.
Also, a new efficient protocol for one-pot preparation of symmetric disulfides from the reaction of alkyl halides, Na2S·3H2O and CCl4 in poly ethylene glycol is developed.
