In this thesis a straightforward method for the efficient, one-pot synthesis of disulfides from organic halides and Na2S2O3. 5 H2O in dimethyl sulfoxide is described.
Furthermore, a one-pot synthesis of disulfides is describes from the reactions of alcohols, triphenyl phosphine, potassium iodide and carbon tetrachloride in the presence of thiourea in acetonitrile.
In addition, a one-pot three component synthesis of ?-bis alkyl thio-1,3-dicarbonyl compounds from the reactions of sodium thiosulfate, a Michael acceptor and a 1,3-di-carbonyl compounds in polyethylene glycol is reported .
