ماتلاSatire is one of the most important literary genres produced by different methods and irony is one of the most techniques in satire. In this study, irony has been investigated in postwar works. Akbar Sahraei and Davood Amirian are two prominent satirists in postwar literature which have appropriately used irony. This study is analytical-comparative and the data have been collected using library and the Internet. Articles and studies conducted in postwar literature are the tools used to take the notes of the sources and mentioned works. The aim of this study is to recognize and investigate the satire in some holy war stories, adjust irony criteria to studied works and determine the limits and dimension of these two writers’ success according to theoretical framework of irony.
