Abstract

Abstract Introduction:The aim of recent study to investigate the effect of butyric acid glyceride and probiotics of bacillus (Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus licheniformis) on the performance of growth indices, blood indices and immunity of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). Method: In this regard, diets with the same protein (about 35%) were supplemented as 4 treatments including zero (control), T1 10 g/Kg Butyric acid glyceride, T2 5 g/Kg probitic bacillus, T3 (10g/Kg Butyric acid glyceride and 5g/Kg probitic bacillus) with 3 replicates per treatment. The fish with initial mean weight 12 g were randomly divided into 12 aquarium containing 80 liters and were fed 3% two times daily to near satiation. Results: Fish fed experimental diets (butyric acid glyceride, probiotic and mix) had significantly (P < .05) improved final weight, %weight gain, protein efficiency ratio, Specific growth rate and feed conversion ratio in compare to control. %HSI and%VSI was not affected by experimental feeds. Value of white blood cell and neutrophils showed significant difference between experimental diets and control (P< .05). Treatment T1 (butyric acid glyceride) and control had showed higher (29±1.27) and lower (23.66±0.18) neutrophil respectively. Red blood cell, white blood cell, hematocrit, hemoglobin, MCV, MCH, MCHC, monocytes, eosinophil did not have differences significant among groups (P > .05). The highest level of serum lysozyme (53.66±2.25), ACH50 (382.33±20.18) and IMG (37.12±1.14) was in the treatment T3. Glucose value had no a significant difference among the groups (p<0.05). Conclusion: Based on the results, the use of mix Butyric acid glyceride and probitic bacillus did have an effect on growth performance, body composition and could improve immune systems in tilapia nile.
