Abstract

Abstract: Education in the field of sexual emotions is a process that helps healthy sexual development, marital health, and interpersonal relationships of individuals. Now, considering the importance of education in the field of sexual emotions for couples, in this study, a serious board game was used as a platform for education in the field of sex for couples. The present study was conducted with the aim of determining the effectiveness of the City of Love game on improving sexual anxiety in couples in Isfahan city. This study was an applied and quasi-experimental study with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. In the present study, 20 couples (20 men and 20 women) were selected from the aforementioned statistical population based on the inclusion criteria and through purposive sampling, and then 10 couples were randomly assigned to the experimental group and 10 couples (10 men and 10 women) to the control group. The City of Love game was played for 8 sessions for the experimental group, and the Fallis Sexual Anxiety Questionnaire (SAS) was used for pre-test and post-test measurements, and finally, the data were statistically analyzed using SPSS-23 software. The results of the analysis of covariance showed that the significance level and effect size for the research variable were 0.014 and 15, respectively. The results of this study show that the City of Love game can reduce sexual anxiety.
