Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of drama therapy on social skills of students with hearing defect were performed. Field testing methodology and tools used in this research was to test social skills Mattson took the form of pre-test and post-test. The population of mentally retarded students with random assignment of 15 girls and boys in the experimental group and the control group were male and 15 were female. Researcher during eight sessions of social skills training as a drama therapy group, the control group did not provide any training. The collected data were analyzed using spss statistical software was used. The statistical analysis of the parameters of descriptive and inferential statistics were used. The results showed that the mean scores on the social skills test and control groups, there is a significant difference. Thus, the results indicate the effectiveness of social skills training for students with hearing defect is a drama therapy.
