Background: Business Process Management (BPM) plays a crucial role in technological, organizational and performance levels. A Business Process can be defined as a related group of tasks which altogether make value for a customer. Since business processes play an important role in enhancing work efficiency and reducing costs, many organizations invest more efforts to improve processes. On the other hand, Information Systems are becoming more and more intertwined with operational processes they support. Organizations have problems extracting value from these data. The goal of process mining is to use event data to extract process-related information. Process mining research has been focusing on process discovery (creating process model from raw data) and reply techniques to check conformance and analyse bottlenecks. These techniques have helped organization to address compliance and performance problems. One of the important and time consuming processes in MAPNA Company is foundation construction process which causes dawdle and so much expense, in massive projects of the company. In this study, Process mining approach used to identify performance and adaptive problems in their processes.
Aim: This study have several key objectives. The first is to discover foundation construction process by using event log. The second is conformance checking model with event log and find deviations and third is to highlight the bottlenecks in foundation construction processes. Finally actual discovered process model and the process model based on site map.
Methodology: Research Population comprised of all foundation construction processes in Behbahan Combine Cycle Power Plant. Research Sampling include the number of times that this process is constructed during the period of 2012 to 2015. Event log were collected from Information systems of project control. Then, event log were analyzed using ProM and Disco software to process discovery, conformance checking and highlight bottlenecks.
