چکیده Dye synthesizedsolar cells are thin film, cheap and easilyfabricated solar cells and hence have prominent potential as an alternative for silicon based solar cells. As such cells have lower efficiency compared to organic and silicon based solar cells, various research groups seek ways to improve dye synthesized solar cells efficiency. In this work, embedding hybrid core-shell-shell Plasmonic nanostructures is proposed to effectively amplify the electric field within the active layer and consequently enhance the optical absorption. A hybrid nanoparticle consisting of a Plasmonic core, dielectric shell, and a semi-conductor shell has the potential of creating strong field localization within the active layer which is easily then translated to better optical absorption. The second shell thickness is the key parameter to reach a prominent design with the potential of improving dye synthesized solar cell efficiency. Silver and gold cores enhance electric field within the active layer compared to the case when only titanium dioxide nanoparticles are used, in two different wavelength regions and consequently increase the cells efficiency.
