چکیده Nowadays, due to increased use of piles as main structural part of various types of development projects, investigation and analysis on the pile behavior is so important. In this thesis, static and dynamic analysis of single vertical pile behavior under various loads by valid modeling and using new numerical methods are presented. For this purpose, first, the analysis for piles embedded in homogenous, non homogenous and layered soils has been done. Then dynamic analysis for single axially loaded piles have been done. In these analyses heaviside load and sinusoidal impact loads have been used and also soil mediums are considered as homogenous and Gibson soils with linear visco elastic bihavior. Damping of soil materials has been applied by Kelvin model. In this study, the differential quadrature method has been used. To analyze the mentioned items and verify the method, at first the governing differential equations of the problem are solved by DQM and FEM, then the results that obtained from these methods are compared with each other and with the measured and exact results and the results given by other researchers. After verifying the model and accuracy of DQ method, studies of the effect of soil and pile parameters on pile response and especially on pile settlement behavior are done. For this purpose, the analysis for piles embedded in homogenous, non homogenous and layered soils has been done. The results obtained showed that the differential quadrature method is able to compute the results with fine convergence speed and high accuracy in both static and dynamic analysis cases.
