Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between organizational culture and employee productivity by explaining the mediating role of knowledge management among managers, experts, and administrative staff of Shirin Asal Company. The research method was descriptive-survey and, in terms of purpose, applied. The statistical population consisted of 222 individuals, from which a sample of 141 participants was selected using Cochran’s formula and standard statistical parameters. Data collection tools included Edgar Schein’s (1980) organizational culture questionnaire with 21 items in two dimensions (external adaptation and internal integration), Jabarzadeh’s (2013) productivity questionnaire with 17 items across four components (efficiency, effectiveness, commitment, and problem-solving), and Lawson’s (2003) knowledge management questionnaire with 24 items in six dimensions (knowledge creation, acquisition, organization, storage, dissemination, and application). Reliability was confirmed using Cronbach’s alpha, and validity was verified through convergent and discriminant validity. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, and structural equation modeling with Smart PLS. The findings showed that organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on employee productivity and knowledge management. Knowledge management also positively affects productivity and fully mediates the relationship between organizational culture and employee productivity. The study contributes to the knowledge management literature by highlighting research gaps in understanding these relationships
