Background: Organizational leaders require competencies and abilities to effectively perform their duties in both national and international environments. The overall responsibility of every organization lies with strategic leaders, and organizational performance is influenced by strategic choices, actions, and approaches of senior managers. This is essential for achieving organizational performance, transformation, and innovation through productivity and strategic decision-making.
Aim: This study aims to determine the impact of strategic leadership on organizational performance with the moderating role of ambidextrous innovation in petrochemical companies within the Special Economic Zone of South Pars.
Methodology: This research is applied in terms of its objective and descriptive-survey in terms of its nature and method. The statistical population of this study includes the petrochemical companies located in the Special Economic Zone of South Pars, with a sample of 180 individuals selected using a convenience sampling method. These participants completed the questionnaires. The research questionnaire was based on a 5-point Likert scale, and to assess the quality of the questionnaire, its reliability was measured using Cronbach's alpha coefficient, and its validity was evaluated using the convergent validity (average variance extracted) and discriminant validity (Fornell-Larcker matrix). Descriptive and inferential statistical methods were used for data analysis.
Findings: The results of this study revealed that strategic leadership has a positive and significant impact on organizational performance. Additionally, ambidextrous innovation positively and significantly affects the relationship between strategic leadership and organizational performance and moderates this relationship in a positive and significant manner.
