Background: The reason that has the companies to review their processes is not only the change in their goal, but also, change in paradigm and do more notice to the environment. In order to react to this paradigm changes, organizations must apply fundamental and radical changes in their business processes. To achieve this, they need some tools such as green business process reengineering. Employing green indicators in green business process reengineering, can provide processes for organizations and community that have trivial environmental consequences.
Aim: The main purpose of the present study is identifying and prioritizing the factors of green business process reengineering. This study also finds a model for measuring green business process reengineering and calculating some indicators to evaluate green reengineering project.
Methodology: in the present investigation, the factors of green business process reengineering were identified and validated by experts through reviewing the literature. Then, the conceptual model was presented and the two language questioners were sent to the international target population. The validation was done by utilizing Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) and Smart PLS software. Friedman test together with coefficient path model were used for the prioritization of the factors. Eventually, Monte Carlo simulation was used in order to achieve the evaluation measure.
Findings: In this study, 29 indicators of reengineering were classified in four factors and found that these factors have significant and positive impact on green business process reengineering. Based on the prioritization results, it was demonstrated that the factors have significant prioritization. Measurement model for green business process reengineering and mathematical relationships for measuring reengineering were extracted, and finally, the average of business process reengineering and expected improvement percentage were presented by using Monte Carlo simulation.
