Abstract

Background: Gastric cancer is a heterogeneous malignant disease associated with environmental and genetic predisposing factors. It is the fourth leading cause of cancer death worldwide. In this way, it is important to introduce compounds that can inhibit the growth of gastric cancer cells. It is also very important to provide therapeutic solutions that can deliver medicinal compounds to stomach cancer cells in a targeted manner. Aim: Investigating the effect of chitosan-coated magnetic nanoparticles carrying active ingredients of chamomile extract on stomach cancer cells. Methodology: In this research, Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticle was synthesized by co-precipitation method and coated with chitosan (ccmnp). The properties of the manufactured nanoparticle were analyzed using various tools such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and VSM to measure the magnetic properties of the synthesized nanoparticle. Chamomile plant extract was prepared in aqueous form. Then, different concentrations of the extract were analyzed in different time intervals with a spectrophotometric device to determine the absorption of this extract in different time intervals. Also, the release and encapsulation of chamomile extract with magnetic nanoparticles coated with chitosan was done (ch -ccmnp) and its results were displayed as a column chart. After encapsulation, XRD test was used to check the crystal structure of the prepared sample, and FT-IR analysis was used to check the correctness of the synthesis steps. In order to investigate the morphological characteristics, including surface morphology, shape and size of nanoparticles with high resolution and magnification using scanning electron microscope SEM of Mahamax laboratory. Conclusions: Magnetic nanoparticles coated with effective substances of chamomile extract can be a suitable option for future research in the treatment of gastric cancer by inhibiting the growth and migration of gastric cancer ce
