Introduction: Conflict Management refers to how people cope with difficult events in life. The purpose of the present study was to examine simple and multiple relationship emotional intelligence with conflict management styles (competitive, conflict and avoidance).
Method: Research method was descriptive and correlational type. The population in this study was all of social service organization that sample of 161 persons were randomly selected. Research instruments were emotional intelligence inventory and conflict management scale.
findings: The results showed that all dimensions of emotional intelligence exception responsibility, with avoidance conflict management style had a significant relationship. Also exception aspects of problem solving, interpersonal relationships, self-esteem, responsibility, and empathy, other aspects of emotional intelligence with competitive conflict management style had significant relationship. Furthermore, all aspects of emotional intelligence exception autonomy, stress, control impulses and assertiveness with cooperative conflict management style had a significant relationship. Multiple regression analysis showed that the relationship between predictor variables with avoidance conflict management (MR= 0/57) were significant. Among predictor variables the best predictor were orderly flexibility and happiness. analysis showed that the relationship between predictor variables with competitive conflict management (MR= 0/32) were significant. Among predictor variables the best predictor was self-conciseness. analysis showed that the relationship between predictor variables with cooperative conflict management (MR= 0/36) were significant. Among predictor variables the best predictor was happiness. MANOVA analysis results showed that between the dimensions of emotional intelligence and conflict management style in male and female employees there is no significant difference.
