Abstract
Irony is one of the terminology that has many meanings, and therefore, with common words in rhetoric and literary criticism, has the same points in terms of cultural and social discourse research between the speaker and the recipient. In this article, the authors have examined the semantic role of Irony in the final analysis, which ultimately shows Irony as one of semantic techniques in rhetoric and literary criticism. However, Irony it appears to be the same rhetorical methods of meanings, statement, and audacity, but the reader, after careful examination, sees the vast gap between them and other rhetorical methods. However, the author's effort has been to examine Irony from the point of view of semantics, and to show drama triples, from the creator, the receiver and the victim.
This research, using an interpretive analytical method, attempts to reveal the implications of Ironi's semantics using the new ideas in this knowledge and conclude that Irony is one of the approaches to semantic science, which, like the common verb, has managed to ridicule and contradiction in itself and It also be likely to mock the audience that has been expressed in speech or is hidden in the position of authority.
