چکیده	The "river" is one of the most prominent natural symbols in which poets can find fertile meanings and connotations to express their ideas. River signifies symbolic energies of life, prosperity and fertility on the one hand, and alienation and grief on the other, depending on the context in which it occurs. One of the poets who found in this natural phenomenon expressive energies is the Emirati poet Mohammed Abdullah Al-Boreiki, who managed to use of this term in his poem entitled: Crutch of the Wind.In this research, where we have relied on the descriptive-analytic approach, We aims at exploring the expressionistic energies and the technical influences behind this natural symbol, and its derivatives in the poetry collection. we found that the poet insisted on the utilization of the "river" and he added positive and negative connotations that we will reveal in this study.
