This study investigates the magnetic, microstructural, and thermal properties of a ball-milled Fe40Co20Ni20V10Cu10 medium entropy alloy. Various characterization techniques, including scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, energy dispersive X-ray analysis, and vibrating sample magnetometry, were employed. XRD analysis revealed a mixture of fcc and bcc phase structures, with the fcc phase predominating in the samples annealed at 800°C. A general decline in saturation magnetization was observed during the milling process, with annealed samples at 80 and 110 h exhibiting significant increases in saturation magnetization. The coercivity of the 110 h milled sample reached a minimum of approximately 57 Oe, while the annealing process generally enhanced the coercivity values of the milled samples. The results indicated that, in general, the trend in the bcc volume fraction parallels the variation trends of both saturation magnetization and coercivity at each stage of milling, including the annealed samples.
