This paper is aimed at elucidating how the equation of state by Song and Mason [1] can be used with even less input information for metals over a wide range of temperatures and pressures. In particular, knowledge of only two constant, surface tension and the liquid density at melting point as scaling parameters which, as we will show, can correlate and predict the thermophysical behavior of metals over a wide range of temperatures and pressures.
