Adud al-Dawla or Fana Khusraw was the ruler of Al-i Buyeh in Iran and Iraq. He has been remembered as the greatest ruler of this clan. Prior to shifting the capital to Baghdad, he had ruled in Shiraz for over a quarter century. During his reign, outstanding works were implemented particularly in the field of urbanism and construction of large buildings, Quran gate was among the most significant works. Mutanabbi, who is regarded as the greatest Arab poet, came to Shiraz during Adud al-Dawla reign and became his court poet. Eight ballads about Adud al-Dawla and his affiliates has been left by Mutanabbi. The author in this study has investigated the image of Adud al-Dawla Daylami in Mutanabbi’s poem by analyze his odds in Adud al-Dawla that was the greatest poet in his reign and is regarded as the most prominent poet in the history of Arabic literature. The author has concluded that the aforementioned poet has pictured Adud al-Dawla as a person owning virtues and perfection traits such as courage, generosity, science and so on. He has pictured him by applying different recitative techniques.
