Antireflection coatings consisted of nanostructured thin films SiO2 with refractive index n=1.05
and ITO with n=1.7 are optimized over wavelength range of 400 to 700 nm and incident angles 00 to 600 using genetic
algorithm, which is coded in MATLAB, in order to enhance solar cell absorption. The optimizations have been done
for nanostructure of one-, two- and three-layer coating and the results have been compared to their bulk scale. The
refractive indexes of SiO2 and ITO in their bulk forms are 1.45 and 1.9, respectively whereas it has been measured 1.05
and 1.7 for nanostructured SiO2 and ITO, respectively. Angle- and wavelength-averaged reflection coefficient for
nanostructured thin films SiO2-ITO-SiO2 reduced to 4.7% for a broad wavelength and incident angles while it is
reduced just almost to 6% for the same structure in their bulk forms.
