Although well point is one of the applicable and useful solution in dewatering the excavation zone in loose and collapsible soil, a few researches and numerical analysis have been done at this field. In this article with assuming stable flow in ground water, theoretical and numerical analysis for calculating the amount of flow which enter in to excavation zone and the number of required well points for pumping the water have been done. Flow numerical calculation have been done by finite element software, seep 3D, and then results from theoretical analysis and software have been compared. required parameters for theoretical and numerical analysis consists of soil permeability coefficient, water head before pumping, required dropped head and well point’s radius. Results show that with increasing of distance between well points, amount of entrance flow into the well points will be increased because of lessen influence on well points on each other. In order to analyze the accuracy of reached distance, results have been compared with other researcher’s advice and calculation. Comparisons show that results have a good overlap on each other.
