In this paper, the effect of silver nano-rods plasmonic on optical absorption organic solar cells P3HT/PCBM has been investigated by using the finite element method. Silver nanorods are placed in the middle, above and down the active layer and also at the top layer of PEDOT:PSS. The active layer optical absorption spectra is under investigation and the effect of the nanorods was studied. It has been shown that using silver nanorods to improve active layer optical absorption and thereby increased the efficiency of such cells.
