Vacuum fields fluctuations are justifier of much quantum optical phenomena such as Casimir force. So far different methods have been developed to measure and calculate the Casimir force but because of the complexity of computation in them, they are usually employed in simple geometries. A more convenient and appropriate method has been proposed to obtain this force in recent years due to the fact that correlation functions of electric and magnetic field appear in the calculation of the Casimir force and that the correlation functions can be written in terms of the imaginary part of Green function components by using the fluctuation dissipation theorem in statistical mechanics and kubo? s formula. In this method, the explicit form of the electric and magnetic fields operator is not required. In this thesis, the latter method for calculating the Casimir force acting on a dissipative dielectric slab located next to a perfect conducting plate has been used.It should be noted that by considering the geometry of the problem studied in this thesis, the boundary conditions are completely different from the previous issues.
