Smuggling goods from Persian Gulf ports has been virtually one of the important issues and problems in Iran economic history on 20th century. During the third decade of this century Iran witnessed the stablishment of the first Pahlavi’s government. It such as a centralized government looked for controling over all important affairs of country including economic.
This thesis surveys smuggling goods in Persian gulf on reza shah,s rule (1925-1941) in relations with the government,s policies and acts. It seems that significant section of reza shah,s policies and acts were done in due to stop contraband into country. The government during its financial, administrative and economic modernization of country with limiter rules ratify monopolized imported important goods business such as sugar loaf, sugar, tea, opium and etc, and created factories for produce this kind of goods as well as took specified administrative, security and disciplinary action.
Available evidence shows that these policies and acts not only didn’t prevent of smuggling goods but provoke it in the northern ports of Persian Gulf.
