In this study, magnetic nanocellulose extracted from Cystoseria myricaas algae (Fe3O4-nanocellulose) were used to attract heavy copper ion (II). The synthesized compounds were identified by XRD, SEM, EDX, VSM and FTIR. The adsorption of copper ion (II) was investigated according to pH parameters, metal concentration, temperature, adsorbent amount and contact time for the Fe3O4-nanocellulose. The maximum adsorption at pH equal to 5, 150 mg/L of the metal concentration, temperature of 45 °C, absorber value 0.25 g/L was to reach 80 min. To determine the optimal adsorption conditions, surface accountability method and Fuzzy System was used. Among the homogeneity patterns used for copper ion absorption on Fe3O4-nanocellulose, the Marsezzo-Jarunovic pattern with the highest correlation coefficient (R2) and least sum squared error (SSE) was chosen as the best model. Among the kinetic models of the best pattern, the pseudo-second order deficit pattern was determined. Also, the thermodynamic variables (?H?, ?S? and ?G?) were calculated.
