Abstract. Zorara Ibn Ayan was one of the greatest of the jurisprudents, literary men, and Emamiye theologians, who was trusted by Imam Jafar Sadegh and Imam Kazem. He excelled his peers in religiosity, jurisprudence, trustworthiness and piety.
Zorarah's unique role in Shi'ite's Hadith and his high status among Emamye hadith narrators is not unknown to anyone studying hadith. He, who was at the top of the jurisprudents of Ashabe Ijma, was admittedly recognized as the most knowledgeable of them.
The hadiths which have been narrated in praise of Zorara are indicative of his great role in safguarding the heritage and the Hadiths of Ahlulbayt and transferring them to the next classes.
Zorara's extensive and deep knowledge of Hadith caused the Ahlulbayt's school of Hadith to be widely-known at the most difficult and the hardest time of taqiyeh (dissimulation). Therefore, Zorera became a source for Hadith studies so that even Imam Sadegh referred his special companions to Zorara.
