Intersections are made as a convinience for traffic. As traffic jams of different streets are mostly ended in intersection, some factors like efficiency, saftey, speed, delay and capacity shoud be considered in the locus and geometric plan correction. The use of simulation in traffic engineering is so common nowadays. Controlling the traffic and different consequences in this area are main reasons for using different simulation softwares. Aimsun 6 is a comprensive software in traffic engineering wich provides traffic models in static,Mesoscopic and Microscopic.
In this thesis four intersections of Pars special Economic Energy Zone (Naft cross road, Harra forked road, Asaluye cross road and Fanavari bridge-traffic circle) are simulated with Aimsun software. According to the outputs of this software, effective paramenters like traffic size, traffic speed, delay time,total traveled distance, total speed of traffic fluency are investigated. Among these inter sections, Asaluye crossroad, because of long delay time, need to be corrected. As a result, five scenarioes are provided to handel the problem.
