Isochrysis galbana is a microalgae of single-celled swimming organisms, from the branch
Premnesiophyta are photosynthesizers with the pigment chlorophyll A and are the basis of the food chain in aquatic environments. These organisms have a variety of uses, including the production of food pigments, fatty acids, antioxidants, polysaccharides, single-celled proteins, and various antimicrobial agents. The microalgae Isochrysis galbana has been noted for its good composition and range of long-chain unsaturated fatty acids. This microalgae is used in the production of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids for human, livestock and aquatic nutrition. In this study, optimal growth conditions including the effect of light intensity and salinity on the density of the microalgae Isochrysis galbana have been studied. To ensure the purity of the microalgae Isochrysis galbana, the sample was also molecularly identified. Light intensity treatment was considered equal to 1500lux, 2300lux, 3000lux and 4500lux and salinity was 15 ppt, 25 ppt and 35 ppt and was recorded for 8 days. The results showed that the purified algae showed the highest density at 1500lux and 35 salinity.
