چکیده
Bed morphology alterations on the downstream end of culverts frequently become a crucial subject of discussion regarding the stability and safeguarding of the mentioned structures. The analysis of downstream bed topography is greatly influenced by the culvert submersion ratios. This study, conducted in a laboratory setting, investigated the changes in bed topography over time as a result of submersion in both the upstream side and the downstream areas of a culvert, while also considering instances of regular and internal blockage within the culvert. A culvert installed in a linear laboratory channel was employed to carry out the experiments in this study. All test conducted in clear water condition. One notable finding from the study revealed that the most significant decrease in the uttermost scour hole deepness, on average, happened amid full submersion. The greatest sedimentation height reached among both semi- and fullsubmersion tests was recorded during the 22.5-minute duration of the full-submersion test. In addition, it was noted that the full-submersion test lasting 180 minutes demonstrated the least amount of scouring in terms of volume and area compared to all other tests carried out as part of the study.
