Persian Gulf in addition to its major energy reserves and natural gas can play a major role in the export and import of goods into the country and from this point of view has a key role in the Iran’s economy. Now, resources discovered in the Persian Gulf continental shelf has valuable reserves and probability increasing in these reserves with discovery of new reserves is high. Attention to energy fields in Persian Gulf and proper planning is essential to exploit them and adopting this strategy in order and safeguard the national interests of Iran.
According to the theory, economic integration among countries that have common economic interests and political ties could to the reallocation of resources, increase production, trade and welfare. Due to this issue, Persian Gulf countries could expand economic ties among themselves to gain the benefits of economic integration. Strong reason for this claim is the proximity between these countries that makes it not only reduced the cost of transportation, the economic spillover effects to be held for the region.
