One of the most important problems in compressors is the formation of hydrates and their impact on the surfaces of the compressor blades resulting in damage to the compressor. In this study, using computational fluid dynamics, the amount of stress applied to the surfaces of centrifugal compressor blades by liquid droplets is investigated. The commercial software ANSYS Fluent is used for this modeling. The compressor was simulated using the Euler-Lagrange perspective at an angular velocity of 18300 rpm at four droplet concentrations of 0.01, 0.03, 0.05 and 0.07. The simulation results showed that by increasing the liquid molar fraction by 0.01, 0.03, 0.05 and 0.07, the stress on the blade increased by 0.17, 0.32, 0.40 and 0.89 percent, respectively, without the presence of droplets.
