Gas compressibility factor (Z-factor) plays the determinative role for finding physical properties of gas reservoirs. This property is crucial for gas condensate fluids with unusual phase behavior during depletion which causes some difficulties in prediction of gas condensate Z-factor. In this study, the empirical correlations along with different mixing rules are applied to find the best combination for predicting of gas condensate Z-factor. Hence, 125 field data point of an Iranian offshore gas condensate with different compositions are chosen for validation. The results show that the Beggs and Brill empirical correlation with Stewart-Bukhardt-Voo mixing rule is the most accurate combination, whereas the least accurate combination is Leland-Mueller mixing rule and Sell Oil Company correlation.
